![]() ![]() Simmers can choose a ‘ Lot Challenge’ such as ‘ Simple Living’, which requires your Sims to provide their own ingredients to cook the various new recipes, such as Bangers and Mash. Taking place in the countryside of Henford-on-Bagley, it has been one of the most anticipated packs for years, and Maxis did not miss by a mile. The pack helps to expand gameplay throughout The Sims 4, adding a sense of seasonal cheer that truly does make a difference.Ģ: The Sims 4: Cottage Living on TwitterĬottage Living is the latest Expansion Pack to be released for The Sims 4 granting Simmers the opportunity to fulfil their Cottagecore dreams. What I loved the most about Seasons is that EA had nailed the atmosphere of Summer, Spring, Winter, or Autumn in-game, adding a tremendous amount of depth and foundation to your Sims’ lives. It has a bunch of different features that have been reintroduced and refined, including different weather conditions, the various seasons, a calendar with customisable holidays, a beekeeping hobby, and a new gardening-related career. First introduced in The Sims 2, the pack has always been a fan favourite. While enjoyment of the other packs belonging to The Sims 4 is dependent on the style of gameplay you prefer – Seasons is a must-have for all players. ![]() The pack helps to expand gameplay throughout The Sims 4, adding a sense of seasonal cheer that truly does make a difference. For that reason, to save you the inevitable Google search of “What packs should I buy?”, I’m going to attempt to rank each one of The Sims 4 ‘s Expansion Packs that have been released to date. While EA does hold the occasional sale, it is still a substantial amount of money to spend, particularly for the Expansion Packs which have the most add-ons. It has faced a lot of negative comments regarding the onslaught of expensive DLCs, all of which are priced at either £7.99, £17.99, or a whopping £34.99. Nonetheless, The Sims 4 does not escape without criticism. From juggling multiple ambitious Sims’ careers to customising my very own Sim in CAS (Create-a-Sim) or even scrolling through the architectural masterpieces found on the EA Gallery, The Sims 4 comforts me every time I switch it on. If you stay in there too long then you may not get back out.If you are anything like me, EA’s The Sims 4 has been something of a virtual haven during the COVID-19 pandemic. They'll also have really great-looking bathrooms since the tiles in this pack are simple and elegant. There are quite a few nice additions in this pack for the peaceful-minded, and your Sim is probably going to live a happier life for it. Thanks the Spa Day Refresh there are now also options for manicures, extra furniture items and even ways to make money with your wellness skill. Take yoga classes, go for a rest in the sauna, learn to meditate, grab a massage, or pick up an aquarium for your home. You also need to bear in mind that it very much feels like a seperate part of the game and even most items and clothing won't find use in your regular gameplay. While it does have some fans, this is definitely one to read up on before you buy it. The pack somehow manages to be too confusing for many Star Wars newcomers, yet too flimsy for fans. You can own a droid and have lightsaber battles, but these parts really are the highlight. You can go inside Olga's Cantina, an underground Resistance base, and a small building that serves as an HQ for The First Order but everything else is just for show. However, many of the locations are simply facades or rabbit holes. There are quests to do, factions to prove yourself to and characters to meet. Batuu itself is an entirely separate world that keeps it feeling immersive as a Star Wars location, but it's also very limited in scope. ![]() The idea for this pack is incredible, and it could have been one of the best packs around but sadly the execution is lacking. ![]()
