![]() Saiko-Pod – Phutures And Options - Intelligent Trance and Downbeat From the Koxbox Lab 74 minutes of intelligent trance and downbeat that builds on the 'Koxbox' tradition for punch and innovation! Songs like 'Silent Running', 'Groove Moderator' with their massive club potential have already caused huge attention from across the board and will soon be remixed by top scandinavian acts. The magnicant downbeat of 'Wednesday', plus the full-on assault of 'Magnetic Forces', 'Apollo' and 'Tron' are making 'Phutures and Options' one of the most mature trance albums in ages. Now the first 'Saiko Pod' album was finished and licensed to 'Spiral Trax'. After the demise of 'T.I.P' records they decided to take the project in a new, more club oriented direction and change the name to 'Saiko Pod'. After the success of 'The great Unknown', they set out to work on the 'Psychopod' project and give it a new spin. This was a radical departure from the known 'Koxbox' style, slower and more funky, but retaining the crystalline production and exquisite application of state of the art technology for which the band is known. In the summer of 1999 'Koxbox' put the finishing touches to 'The Great Unknown'. In the same year they made a lot of remixes for bands like 'Slinky Wizard' or 'Juno Reactor' and start their second project 'Psychopod' wich released a couple of succesful singles on 'T.I.P.' records. In 1991 they brought their second album 'Dragon Tales' on englands popular electronic label 'Blue Room'. After a couple of singles under the name 'Koxbox' they got picked up by german superstar DJ 'Sven Vaeth', who signed them up to his seminal 'Harthouse' label. Saiko Pod aka Koxbox aka Psychopod is back! Stalwarts of the danish scene for some time Frank e and Ian Ion starting working together in the early 90s. ![]() Official Release Playlist: bit.ly/1hVu7WT Phutures And Options by Saiko-Pod - Intelligent Trance and Downbeat From the Koxbox Lab ![]() ► Soundcloud: /spiral-trax/sets/SPITCD0013 ![]()

Do you retrofit? How do you create more green space in already crowded inner cities? The vast majority of existing buildings are ill‑suited for the extreme climate of the 21st century: poorly insulated, poorly sited, dependent on air-conditioning to keep them habitable. The second, and more difficult, challenge is figuring out what to do with existing buildings and cityscapes. ![]() ![]() That means more green space, more trees, more water, more shade, more thermally intelligent urban design. New buildings need to be not only efficient and built of sustainable materials, but also safe for people during increasingly intense heat waves. Cars need to be replaced with bikes and public transit. First, as cities grow, how do you ensure that they grow in a heat‑smart way? Another 50 years of suburban sprawl is not the answer. Or, if that is too much, at least making it a city that is not a death trap for its citizens.įor cities, the challenge of thriving on a superheated planet is twofold. Making a city that was not designed for extreme heat into a city that is livable during extreme heat is the great urban engineering project of our time. Southwest, Southern Europe, China, India, and elsewhere. That is being brought home this month, as Earth has seen its hottest days on record, and deadly heat waves have hit the U.S. Many of the victims lived alone, in top‑floor garrets or attic apartments, where the heat built up beneath zinc roofs and literally cooked people as if they were in an oven.īut now, like everything else, these cities have to change. Nearly a thousand lived in central Paris. In less than two weeks, 15,000 people in France died as a direct result of the heat wave. A week or so into the heat wave, city officials began running out of places to store bodies. Hospital emergency rooms started to fill up. It took a few days for the full scope of the tragedy to reveal itself. For nine days in August, the daytime temperature was above 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 degrees Celsius), sometimes spiking up to 104 degrees F (40 degrees C). In the summer of 2003, Parisians who remained in the city were hit with something they were not accustomed to: a heat wave. People who stick around during August are often older or have jobs that require them to stay and keep the city functioning. Think of it as an old‑fashioned adaptation to heat. Paris virtually shuts down as the temperature drifts around in the seventies, and people go to the beach or the mountains to cool off and relax. There’s a long tradition in France of taking August off for holiday. ![]() ![]() ![]() French broom is a pretty ornamental perennial and a ferocious invader. ![]() Genista monspessulana has taken over an estimated 100,000 acres in California since its mid 19 th Century introduction as an ornamental, growing at a rate of more than two feet per growing a season. In the case of French broom, a woody perennial shrub that comes dressed up in attractive yellow flowers, removal has been a focus of native plant restoration efforts for many years around the Bay Area. As we reflect on the compounding problems facing the planet, as individuals it may seem like the best we can do is keep pulling the weeds we see in our own backyards, however intractable they might be. That might as well be the motto for Earth Day 2014. She laughs: “What are you going to do? Whatever you can.” One of the volunteers tells Whelan that the effort is “analogous to reclaiming the Sahara with watering can.” ![]() And yet, volunteers put in about 3,000 hours on Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD) land during the 2012-2013 fiscal year in habitat restoration, much of it involving removing the “No.1 weed in Marin County.” Pulling weeds is not glamorous or easy work. She cautions them about the hazards of the job: ticks, poison oak, sunburn, uneven terrain, bees and general exhaustion from the heat. Each year controlling this invasive plant will require significantly less time and effort, you may never truly eradicate it because of any seeds on the surface and seeds that come in with birds and run off but it can be controlled so that native species can once again compete.Suzanne Whelan stands in front of a thick patch of French broom and addresses a group of 17 volunteers who traded in last Saturday to help remove this invasive plant from the Mt. Then if the site is walked through out the springtime and summer seedlings can be removed without much energy for those that have a good eye for identification. ![]() Nail a 2-foot square of black poly sheet over each crown will kill the plant as it tries to sprout from the roots. Any plants which are missed and produce seed in any given year could prolong complete eradication by decades. The protocol we follow to maintain control is to cut the plant as close to the ground as posable before they start to flower for the season and not disturb the native ground cover, to do so plants seeds on the surface. A Protocol for Control of the Broom Species One site we used the stand as dense maze to teach compass navigation. In both Felton and Lake Concow we have seen infestations that were a quarter acre or more in area, 12-feet tall, and so dense that even crawling our participants could not penetrate the stand. Seed banks on the surface on mature plants may persist for decades can remain viable in the soil for over 25 years or more. With its long seed life, ability to quickly colonize disturbed areas to form dense stands, adaptability to a wide range of habitats and conditions, and long seed life it has been a difficult task to completely eradicate from sites. It is nitrogen fixing and with that it can easily overtake the native forages. These are now one of the most pervasive and destructive invasive plant species in many parts of the west. Like many other invasive species in the 19th century these three were brought in as ornamentals, erosion control, fodder, and for their use as fiber. One of the plants we have trained our students to identify and control has been the three broom species: Scotch Broom Cytisus scoparius, French broom Genista monspessulana, and Spanish broom Spartium junceum. As good stewards of the land we need to keep all invasives in check. Invasives be it macro-invertebrates, birds, mammals, or plants, will push out the native species and those native species may be endangered or necessary habitat for other species that may be in danger. The Importance of Keeping Invasives in Check For nearly 20 years our participants have taken pride in our venues by removing junk, trash, and graffiti working at erosion control, putting in deterrents to others cutting trails and covering bare spots with duff, and helping to keep invasive plants in check. If you have been in any of our programs you will hear us say in our introduction that we will leave the site better than we found it you will also know that we walk that talk. Albert Howard Leave It Better Than How You Found It: French, Scotch, and Spanish Broom It has been going on ever since, wherever man’s culture of the earth has bared the soil to rain and wind.” It began when the first heavy rain struck the first furrow turned by a crude implement of tillage in the hands of prehistoric man. ![]() ![]() ![]() 7.3.I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. While EA does hold the occasional sale, it is still a substantial amount of money to spend, particularly for the Expansion Packs which have the most add-ons. You also need to bear in mind that it very much feels like a seperate part of the game and even most items and clothing won't find use in your regular gameplay. While it does have some fans, this is definitely one to read up on before you buy it. The pack somehow manages to be too confusing for many Star Wars newcomers, yet too flimsy for fans. You can own a droid and have lightsaber battles, but these parts really are the highlight. You can go inside Olga's Cantina, an underground Resistance base, and a small building that serves as an HQ for The First Order but everything else is just for show. However, many of the locations are simply facades or rabbit holes. There are quests to do, factions to prove yourself to and characters to meet. Batuu itself is an entirely separate world that keeps it feeling immersive as a Star Wars location, but it's also very limited in scope. ![]() The idea for this pack is incredible, and it could have been one of the best packs around but sadly the execution is lacking. ![]() ![]() ![]() I’ve got the budget for a high end amp, but I don’t know if I can find one to play locally until the pandemic slows down and stores start resupplying. So In an ideal world the stores would be stocked and I’d go find the perfect amp in person regardless of cost. ![]() I don’t have a lot of recent background with these amps so am trying to figure out who they were aiming for with each and how they are being used by regular players etc. At the other end of the spectrum the Rockerverb sounds class but one would expect so at that price. Or what fundamental differences are between the AD30 vs TH30. Just having a hard time differentiating between a lot of these Orange amps at similar price points, as I can’t tell a hell of a lot of difference tone wise between say the OR15 vs Rocker 15 vs Dual Terri. That reminded me of its unique washy gain tone, and sent me down the rabbit hole with their amps. How I came back to Orange is, I returned my DSL, bought a Mesa 2x12 and to bide my time I got the Orange Stamp so I could at least keep playing. (Maybe my EQ’ing but I did follow some general setting from you tubers) Dig the Mini Rectifier, and if push came to shove that would be the amp I’d get in a pinch (Not a lot of local options to try out with the pandemic affecting stores stock) It had a surprisingly good bright clean and obvious punch in the gain stages, but it did lose a touch of clarity under heavy gain. Like the amp rocks except it’s complete lack of character, if that makes sense. The Triple Crown is a fantastic amp by Mesa, held its clarity under high gain, but it’s tone is really generic. But, the MT15 just sounds generally thin and what I would describe as run of the mill metal sounds. I played the full Mesa lineup at a local shop and a PRS and I noticed the two amps that didnt fizz out under saturation was the PRS MT15 and the Triple Crown. Had clarity up until you started really pushing the gain. (Sorta like surfing between ultra clean reverb/delay stacked tones to high gain washed tones) My dislike for the DSL was it lost articulation under saturation. I never considered myself an overly high gain guy, certainly not to the point of typical metal, but I have noticed my playing has skewed more high gain. I got an SG and started with the Marshall DSL40CR because I assumed, Marshall is what you need lol. I haven’t played electric guitar for some time after many years playing acoustic. If, on the other hand, you plan to access your desktop remotely over any public network, you must use the secure method of access to avoid your system and data being compromised. Assuming you are accessing one system from another within a secure internal network, using the insecure access method is generally safe. In this chapter, we will cover both secure and insecure remote desktop access methods. Secure and Insecure Remote Desktop Access This chapter will cover the key aspects of configuring and using remote desktops within RHEL 9. The RHEL 9 remote desktop functionality is based on a technology known as Virtual Network Computing (VNC). When the RHEL 9 system runs on a cloud-based server, it also allows access to the desktop environment as an alternative to performing administrative tasks using the command-line prompt or Cockpit web console. It is also helpful when a coworker or IT support technician needs access to your desktop to resolve a problem. This is useful if you need to work on your computer when you are away from your desk, such as while traveling. For example, it enables you or another person to view and interact with your RHEL 9 desktop environment from another computer system on the same network or over the internet. Remote desktop access can be helpful in many scenarios. There are even apps available for Android and iOS that will allow you to access your RHEL 9 desktop from just about anywhere that a data signal is available. This can be achieved regardless of whether that system runs Linux, Windows, or macOS. Although not enabled by default, displaying and accessing a RHEL 9 desktop from a system anywhere else on a network or the internet is relatively straightforward. RHEL 9 can be configured to provide remote access to the graphical desktop environment over a network or internet connection. ![]() ![]() But not so with this batch, which police suspect was distributed by two men, including one accused of handing out it for nothing to lure in clients.
